Insoluble Mystique

~Chapter one ~
I was running from something or someone but whom or what it was I have no clue. What it wants is not hard to come by it wants my blood. Hi I’m Annabell, Anna for short. I’m turning 17 in a week and I wonder what I’m going to do yet.

~ A week ago~
“Hey Anna wake up” my brother yelled from the bottom of the stairs.
 “I’m up Spencer” I yelled from the bathroom I was brushing my long golden blonde hair and started to braid it.

“Ok then hurry up you will be late to school if you are this slow” spencer said he’s 21 and yeah I know strange you might be wondering where our parents are? Aren’t you well they are gone as I mean dead. They were murdered when I was 14 and I lived with my brother since then.

“I’m coming” I called down and rushed down stairs and grabbed a Nutella smeared toast and my book bag and headed to my brothers car so he could drive me to school. As we headed to school I turned on the radio and my favorite song Welcome to the Show by Britt Nicole was on and I sang along to it but laughing when my brother was singing along as well.

I wish it was always like this. My brother was always busy with work but he never told me what it was I wonder why though. As the care stopped I opened the door and grabbed my bag and shut the door as he drove away I waved bye knowing he was heading to his mysterious work.

I never really talked to people except my friend puck his real name is Robin I have no clue why he wants me to call him that.
“Hey happy early Birthday Anna” puck said with a huge grin spread across his face as I walked up to him.

“Hey puck and thank you “I smiled as I opened my locker and grabbed my math book and shut it.

“So where do you want to go for your birthday win 7 days?” puck asked looking at me. I thought about it for a minute then said
“I would love to go camping I never really been camping before and it sounds fun” I smiled and leaned my back on my locker.

“That sounds like a great idea me you and your brother can camp out in the forest around here” he said a bit too loud and a few students walking past looked at him and mumbled to each other. I sighed softly and waved bye and went to class.

As school ended and I was waiting for my brother to come pick me up puck walked over and said.
“oh I forgot to give you this Anna” when I looked at it and I almost cried it was a beautiful necklace made out of carved wood and paint and there was a jewel that matched my deep brown eyes and I hugged him.

“Thank you puck I love it. Can you put it on me?” I said and he nodded. I turned around and lifted my long hair and he put it on. We waved bye when his mother got here and I waited then soon was picked up by her brother.

Once I was home I changed in to my sweats and hoodie and walked down stairs but my brother stopped me and said.
“Where are you going Anna?” he asked as if something would happen to me out there.

“To the park, dah” I said sighing softly and shaking my head “I always go there when I want to think you know that Spencer thought about the camping plan and added” oh yeah for my birthday can me you and puck go camping in the woods?”

“Sure Anna if that is your wish” he said but was holding back something else from her but what.” And be home before dark alright”

“Ok” was all I said and left towards the park. I got to the park in about 5 minutes and I walked to the pond and watched the ducklings swim with their family. That always made me think of mom and dad a lot. I suddenly felt a tear stream down my cheek.

I quickly wiped it away and looked around and mumbled.” Hello is anyone there?” no response ‘I could have sworn that someone was watching me but I don’t know who though’ I stood up and headed back home for the rest of the afternoon.
